We had a chance to catch up with busy student, Lauren Grzymala, on her way to becoming a Certified Wedding and Event Planner. Ms. Grzymala is a student in Wedding and Event Planning.

Lauren’s project one (1) was to design an event and bring her “A Game” to the design and event experience. We enjoyed her project and we think you’ll enjoy it too!

What was the inspiration for this project?

I draw my inspiration from my family and friends, but the biggest inspiration for this project came from my relationship and marriage with my husband!

What did you find to be the most challenging?

The most challenging part of this project was trying to focus on the many small parts, one at a time. I was so excited to bring it all together, it was difficult not to get ahead of myself.

What was your favorite part?

My favorite part was seeing my vision come together piece by piece! I also really enjoyed coordinating the outfits for the bride, groom, and wedding attendants, and coordinating all the elements of the atmosphere.

What was the biggest take-away you learned?

The biggest take-away I learned is that with patience and focus, even the most daunting projects can come together stunningly.

Your vision needs direction and attention to be achieved, but seeing it all come together is the most rewarding feeling!

What advice do you have for anyone planning to start a career in wedding and event planning?

Every couple expresses their love differently. Pay attention to even the smallest details; they really do matter. They’re what makes the day unique, and gives the event a personality to fit the client!
