We had a chance to catch up with busy student, Jihan Francois, on her way to becoming a Certified Wedding and Event Planner. Ms. Francois is a student in Wedding and Event Planning.
Jihan’s project one (1) was to design an event and bring her “A Game” to the design and event experience. We enjoyed her project and we think you’ll enjoy it too!
What 3 things would you like to share about yourself?
1. I’ve lived all over the South as an adult: Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Texas & North Carolina.
2. I love football.
3. TV is my pastime.
Why did you enroll in the Certified Wedding and Event Planning and Design Programs?
I enrolled because although I have been doing events for years, now that I was launching my business full-time, I felt it would be important to potential clients that I was certified plus, I never want to stop learning and growing.
What was the inspiration for this project?
I was inspired by the type of wedding I’d like to have for myself one day.
What did you find to be the most challenging?
Pulling all the information into a cohesive and appealing presentation and getting overwhelmed my all my ideas.
What was your favorite part?
Searching for inspiration photos that matched the ideas in my mind. I love exploring on Pinterest.
What was the biggest take-away you learned?
My biggest takeaway was the importance of using A8 to ensure that you’ve thought of everything for your event.
What are your plans for the future?
My plan is to grow my business into one of the premier wedding & event planning & design companies in the Southeast.
What advice do you have for anyone planning to start a career in wedding and event planning?
Follow a framework and stay on top of your budget.
